The Floe Project has been contributing to the tools and resources in the Weavly Educator’s Toolkit. Educators can find a collection of techniques and strategies to help create and set up an accessible environment for coding education. The collection of activities in the toolkit are meant to scaffold coding concepts and make coding fun.
Weavly is a tool designed for everyone to learn about coding including kids with complex needs who have been left out of coding education. The coding environment is customizable and simplifiable enabling each kid to enjoy it the way they prefer. Detailed facilitation guides for running a Weavly workshop and guides to using the Weavly coding environment for learners with low vision, keyboard users, screen reader users and switch users are available in the Weavly Educator’s Toolkit.
